I just obtained an M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering after a B.Eng in Water Resources & Environmental Engineering all from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria-Nigeria. I’m interested in furthering my education i.e. PhD in GeoEnvironmental Engineering but finance is my bane as is the case with most Third World citizens. Obtaining sponsorship is always our bane. Dear Jeet there are more than 6,500 words with their meanings and contextual usage…have you gone through all the word lists…there are Barron’s lists, GRE HIgh Frequency word lists and GRE Essential Vocabulary word lists…kindly go through all of them…

1. GRE High Frequency Word list
2. GRE Essential Vocabulary Word Lists

Hi Zafar, the fee for GRE is stated on the ETS website..u have to make an online payment..regd conversion any bank will help you, and even more so your local ETS facilitator..pls find out where your nearest local ETS facilitator is located in Pakistan…

Thanks for your comment Anuj, Do not harbor any doubts in your mind these all test are deigned specifically for GRE.You need to master them all in order score good in verbal section ,and do run through blog section on learnwordlist.com for various learning technique.
The word list test which u have posted are really fantastic, but I would like to make a point that to put more no. of choices to the question say 5 choices. Because to b more precise the actual GRE contains 5 choices which increases the difficulty level.

hey learnwordlist.com, u guys are really great. ever since (4 days ago) i found dis webstie, I haven’t opened the other paper books i got for GRE preparation (my test is in 3 wks time); your website provides and simplifies vocab study for GRE candidates. I am still flabbergasted, perplexed and astounded that i access dis materials freely from you. thanks. and what other advice or skill for my crash preparatory for the GRE. My last GRE verbal score wasn’t lofty enough to secure admisison placement i my first choice school. I scored 350 in verbal.
Many are interested to study with you and their question is that is it possible that they can get hard copy or study materials through their physical addresses? This is because mostly I operate in rural where internet is not available. I only travel to the city when I have lectures because am a student at one of the Universities in the city.

I appreciate ur work .. but i was worried to find new words here at the test.. even after finishing the barrons word lists for a particular word i find unknown words here and its disspaointing.. will baroons word list be insufficient for GRE??
Sharvani, Barron is sufficient, but with it also try to cover Princeton…

A slight quibble:
In the 20th word “Betrayal”, ‘guarding’ is misspelled. This is very minor but I just thought I’d leave this here in case whoever tends to these tests has a case of OCD like I do.
