I believe some root of words dont actually portray the real meaning of the words. Example act/ ag/ ig/ egy means to act, do or drive but the word exiguous means meagre. Hw does it relate. Can u pls help explain. Tnx!
Dear Farouk, the word exiguous is Latin in origin..it’s original form is Exiguus which means scanty and meager in number…
