  4. OPONG on September 10th, 2009 2:10 am

please, sir, i am resolute to do well in both the quantitative and the verbal apsect of the GRE, but my fear is the analytical writing apect of the EXAM. would that necessarily count if i refuse to tackle that section during the test day? would i still get admission or assistantship into grad school? please, i need graphic explanation with regard to its sway.

  5. AnuVeluri on September 10th, 2009 9:51 am

Dear Opong, you cannot do away with Analytical Writing segment , it is one of the most important segments of the exam. In fact some good Universities value ur score in the AWA. Opong if AWA is ur weakness make it ur strength..

  6. opong on September 11th, 2009 10:50 am

thanks a lot for your advice. Not that i totally fear the analytical segment, but some of the issue prompts are abstract that sometimes i don’t even have the slightest idea about it.

please, help me overcome this hurdles in the GRE; God will bless you.

  7. AnuVeluri on September 12th, 2009 11:03 am

Dear Opong, follow our GRE series blog…we will shortly comment on the analytical section too..you have to work hard on AWA if u are not very comfortable with it. Opong there is no shortcut to success…practice a lot..
