Hi, I know that you are taking great effort to give these words. But what I point out is that for some words you had given the secondary meaning. We need to know the meaning of the words with respect to the context in which it is used. So explaining all the synonyms of the words would be a better idea?
-Guru
Dear Guru…these are the actual meanings of the words I am afraid there are no inconsistencies whatsoever…pls do not take the literal meaning of the word discover…it means here a systematic unveiling of something…and Dowse pretty well means to search…I think u can consider some authentic sources for meanings like Advanced Learner’s Oxford…u key down a word on the system and u will get n number of meanings for that…pls consider some authentic sources…and more over there are several word lists on the Site..U can run through GRE Essential Vocabulary lists wherein multiple synonyms for a word are displayed…
Regards,
Dear Guru, in fact the meanings u suggested are the secondary meanings….n pls do not get confused with meanings and synonyms…a meaning will always be in a descriptive form..synonyms are the various equivalents of the words…
Regards,
