    Regards,

  37. AnuVeluri on July 18th, 2009 12:05 pm

Hi Farouk, first and foremost understand the title of the essay..keep your language simple and lucid. Try to make use of active voice as much as possible. Do not beat around a point. Fill your essay with proofs and examples and finally let not the focus shift.

    Regards,

  38. Farouk Ali on July 19th, 2009 2:57 pm

Dats exactly wat my teacher always emphasize back in high sch. But the essays i went through dat got high scores re usually using big words n compound sentences. I m afraid a simple language ll not be good enough.

  39. Farouk Ali on July 19th, 2009 3:02 pm

And again, i dont live in d united states n i m not actually a ‘news man’. i e, i dont listen 2 d news often, so d examples i may give may not be popular n current. Will local events suffice?

I will b greatly obliged by ur guidance.

one more thing, this site is developing at a rapid pace…this web site is incredible for gre vocab learning in fact the best 1.

    AMEY

  41. AnuVeluri on July 20th, 2009 1:50 am

Dear Farouk, the content of your essay not the language matters..it doesn’t mean you need to use a language that is not consistent..focus on the subject is more important…one needs to express not impress…:-)

    Regards,

  42. AnuVeluri on July 20th, 2009 2:00 am

Your examples shud sound genuine…ur essays need not reflect your general awareness…but apart from essays I think u need to stay tuned to the latest things happening around you and keep adding to your knowledge…

    Regards,

  43. AnuVeluri on July 20th, 2009 2:04 am

Dear Amey, thanks a ton…I think u shud start taking the tests in alphabetical order…take all the tests..the synonyms tests and the antonyms and rate ur performance..besides this also try to solve a few previous GRE papers..make learning an enjoyable process not a stress generating one..that’s first and foremost..and have realistic deadlines..nevertheless keep urself open to new vocabulary any day, any time..read papers like the Economic Times and journals like the National Geographic that will expose you to contemporary vocabulary…and finally wishing you success!!

    Regards,

  44. Amey kulkarni on July 20th, 2009 5:38 pm

  60. opong on September 11th, 2009 7:34 am

sir, i sent a mail regarding the the sway of the analytical aspect of the GRE on my ambition to further my studies in USA, but no replied has been sent to me yet. why?

  61. opong on September 11th, 2009 7:45 am

in case my question didn’t get to you, this was what i meant.

I am resolute in passing both the quantitative and the verbal section of the GRE, but my fear is the analytical section. i have decided to shirk that section. could it affect my overall dreams of perusing my masters program in petroleum engineering in USA? Or if I write and could not do well as may be expected by the officials in charge of admission, will i be denied of admission? I dreadfully need help.

  62. AnuVeluri on September 12th, 2009 11:01 am

Dear Opong, we did answer to your query the same day..

  63. AnuVeluri on September 12th, 2009 11:01 am

Dear Opong, you cannot do away with the analytical writing section, u ought to take it invariably…

  64. opong on September 13th, 2009 4:15 pm

please, i need guidelines and what exactly is the impact of analytical essays on admission. Do all grad schools in USA consider the AW.? I am asking this because there are some issue prompts that i have no idea about. help

  65. AnuVeluri on September 14th, 2009 4:12 pm

Dear Opong, all good Universities value AWA…and as I told u earlier u need to practice a lot on the questions that u are not very comfortable with. You can jot down all the issue questions that are troubling u, research on them I mean understand the question thoroughly, write and get them evaluated by an expert. U need to work Opong…fortunately or unfortunately there is no respite from hard work..:-)

Hi Luna, you have very good academic credentials indeed and ur profile definitely has an edge..so u can pursue your master’s in the United States of America undoubtedly..first u need to qualify both in GRE and TOEFLiBT..other things like scholarship are considered during the time of application..in fact you can directly approach the college finance board for assistance..

    Wishing you success!!
